Carson Clettenberg lived his seventeen years in big, beautiful ways, full of joy, presence, and deep connection. He embraced each moment, never in a hurry to move on, never planning so far ahead that he missed the magic of now. He brought people together across different friend groups, interests, and personalities. No one was ever left out when Carson was around.

On August 18, 2022, just days before beginning his senior year, Carson's life was tragically cut short while working on a ranch. As he and his friend, Eli, sat in a hammock laughing and enjoying the day, a rotting tree gave way, falling and taking Carson's life instantly.

Christy and Steve created the Carson Clettenberg Angel Fund to keep Carson's memory alive and carry forward his legacy of kindness and compassion and the unwavering presence and support he showed his friends in life.

The Carson Clettenberg Angel Fund will directly support the Pathfinders School-Based Program, which serves students, families, and school staff from Aspen to Parachute who are navigating the loss of a parent, sibling, or other loved one. The fund ensures counselors can meet students one-on-one or in small groups in their schools, offering a lifeline during the most challenging times of their young lives.
